August 24 - 30

Happy Monday!  Hope you're ready for some hot weather this week in Southern Indiana.  The kids may be back in school but it's still summer for a while yet.

Yesterday we had a great message from Pastor Mark Short on Prayer.  His message,  based on 2 Chronicles 7:14 "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and PRAY...", reminded us that we all need to spend a little time with Jesus.  If you missed it yesterday, you can watch the recording of our live-stream. 


Here is this week's events:


There isn't much going on at ALCC... yet!  September is right around the corner and hopefully (you never know with the season we're living in!) new things will be starting.  Our youth group is meeting on Wednesday nights for the next 3 weeks and then they will move to Sunday nights on September 13th.  Other events will begin on Sunday nights too, like ALCC Kids Christmas play practice and some ALCC small groups.  Stay tuned for more information!

We have nothing on the calendar for the rest of January, so here's a look at what's coming up in February: Make plans to join us for the ALCC Marriage Conference February 2-4.  If you know a couple that would be blessed by this conference, feel free to invite them even if they attend another church!  We want this to be a benefit to our community.

October 26, 2023

This Friday, October 27, is the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party .  Bring the whole family and join us in the Groundzero building at 6:30 PM to help fill our boxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and more!   We've been recognizing our pastors this month on social media, we've collected a few cards and notes, and this Sunday will be the last day we'll receive a special offering to bless our pastors and their wives.  If you haven't given yet you can do so by marking your envelope "Pastor Appreciation" when you give cash or a check in the offering.  You can also choose "Pastor Appreciation" from the fund drop down menu if you give online . This Sunday, October 29th is  Lisa Short's Birthday .  You still have a little time to send her a card or  you can send her a text or even post something on social media wishing her a happy birthday!
