November 2 - 8

Happy November, everyone!  For some of us, it's still fall, for others, November 1st marks the beginning of Christmas!  Whichever season you're in, let's all remember to give thanks this month!

If you missed yesterday's message (or any week's message) you can always find the recording of our live-stream on our YouTube channel.  This week Pastor Troy continued his sermon series, Faith > fear as we looked at Hebrews 11: 27-31.

There have been changes to our schedule since the last blog post and since I put out the calendars in the restrooms at church.  Bear with us during this season as our events and plans are subject to change.


Here are the events coming up this week:


FYI, the Groundzero building is being used as a polling place so keep that in mind if you have any business at the church Tuesday.

Also note, the First Wednesday for November and December has been canceled.  We hope to resume these wonderful nights of corporate praise and prayer in 2021.  And, as you most likely have heard, we will not be holding Bethlehem Revisited this year.  Be watching for a new way ALCC will shine bright this Christmas season! 

Lastly, new to the calendar for November is a Membership Class on November 18.  If you have been attending ALCC for a while now, you might consider becoming a member.  This class will teach you all about church membership.  If you'd like to attend, contact the church office.

We have nothing on the calendar for the rest of January, so here's a look at what's coming up in February: Make plans to join us for the ALCC Marriage Conference February 2-4.  If you know a couple that would be blessed by this conference, feel free to invite them even if they attend another church!  We want this to be a benefit to our community.

October 26, 2023

This Friday, October 27, is the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party .  Bring the whole family and join us in the Groundzero building at 6:30 PM to help fill our boxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and more!   We've been recognizing our pastors this month on social media, we've collected a few cards and notes, and this Sunday will be the last day we'll receive a special offering to bless our pastors and their wives.  If you haven't given yet you can do so by marking your envelope "Pastor Appreciation" when you give cash or a check in the offering.  You can also choose "Pastor Appreciation" from the fund drop down menu if you give online . This Sunday, October 29th is  Lisa Short's Birthday .  You still have a little time to send her a card or  you can send her a text or even post something on social media wishing her a happy birthday!
