Hello ALCC Family! Hope you're having a great week! If you're not, maybe you should watch/re-watch Pastor Troy message from Sunday. He taught on the middle of the Bible, Psalm 118 and in the center of the Bible is this verse:
"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans."
If you missed the service, you can find it on our YouTube channel.
This Sunday we will have a special guest with us at ALCC:
Bernie Smith will be joining us in both services this Sunday, January 24. He will be updating us on the ministry at the West Africa Advanced School of Theology where Bernie and his wife Brenda have served since 1994. This regional school, based in Lomé, Togo, serves French and English speaking pastors and church leaders from some 20 nations of West and Central Africa. Bernie teaches many subjects at the school and is also the associate pastor of the WAAST International Chapel.
Coming up next week:
From 6 PM, Friday, January 29, until 6 PM Saturday, January 30, the ALCC family will be reading the Bible for 24 hours straight. We are asking individuals, couples, or even families to sign up to come and read the Bible in the ALCC prayer room. In the first time slot we will start off at a predetermined chapter and verse. Then every fifteen minutes a new person will take over where the last person left off. Please, only sign up if you can come to the ALCC campus to read. You can sign up for as many slots as you'd like we just ask you to be sure to show up when scheduled and read for your entire time. We need night owls, early birds, and everyone in between to help us accomplish our goal! We have an online schedule
HERE for you to sign up.
Mark your calendars for a few other events coming up soon:
