April 29, 2021

Hope you are staying dry this wet Spring day!  We begin a new month this weekend and with it new events.  Last week I gave you the calendar for May.  If you don't remember what was on it, here it is again:


This Sunday, Pastor Troy continues his sermon series, Acts - Power for the Last Days.  If you miss any of these messages, you can find recordings of our live-stream on our YouTube channel.  Also, remember you can find sermon notes each week on the You Version Bible app.  Just look under "Events" and find Abundant Life Community Church.  These notes are available for one week.  If you need printed or a pdf version of the sermon handout, contact me (Kim Forston) at kforston@alccn.org or call 812-853-3437 and I'll get those to you!

This coming week we have lots going on!  On Tuesday we have the mom's group, Mama Co., in the morning and the men's Bible study, The Remnant, in the evening.  On Wednesday we have our monthly praise and prayer night, First Wednesday.

Plan ahead - Mother's Day is next Sunday!  We want to be sure to remember all the moms in our lives!!

One last thing today, we are still in need of volunteers for VBS!

VBS is Monday-Friday, June 21-25 from 6-8 PM each day.  We need help setting up, prepping each day, serving each night and clean up when it's all over!  If you'd like to help at any time in any area, you can sign up HERE.  If volunteering isn't something you can do, you can donate to help with the costs of VBS and of course we need prayer warriors to pray for the kids of our community during this week.  Let's do all we can so these kids can learn "God's greatest treasure is you".

We have nothing on the calendar for the rest of January, so here's a look at what's coming up in February: Make plans to join us for the ALCC Marriage Conference February 2-4.  If you know a couple that would be blessed by this conference, feel free to invite them even if they attend another church!  We want this to be a benefit to our community.

October 26, 2023

This Friday, October 27, is the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party .  Bring the whole family and join us in the Groundzero building at 6:30 PM to help fill our boxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and more!   We've been recognizing our pastors this month on social media, we've collected a few cards and notes, and this Sunday will be the last day we'll receive a special offering to bless our pastors and their wives.  If you haven't given yet you can do so by marking your envelope "Pastor Appreciation" when you give cash or a check in the offering.  You can also choose "Pastor Appreciation" from the fund drop down menu if you give online . This Sunday, October 29th is  Lisa Short's Birthday .  You still have a little time to send her a card or  you can send her a text or even post something on social media wishing her a happy birthday!
