Hope you've found a way to beat the heat this week!  Even though school has started, it is still Summer!


We forgot to announce that as of last Sunday, ALCC Kids will now hold Kid's Church in the GZ building.  Hopefully it wasn't too confusing for our parents last week!  The Pre-K and Nursery age kids will stay in their same areas - Rooms 101-105.



This Sunday we will hold Water Baptisms.  If you'd like to take part let us know.  We even have t-shirts and shorts available for those who might choose to take part last minute.  This is a great way to share with the world that you have decided to be a disciple of Jesus!



Ladies, you'll want to be sure to register on Sunday for the Women's Conference coming up in September!  Fill out a registration form at the Hospitality Desk and you can pay by cash, check, or charge.  The cost is $98 including hotel with a discount for single moms, students, and seniors (55+).  Remember, the price goes up $10 if you don't register with us by next Thursday!


Next week we have a couple things coming up. First, The Remnant men's Bible study meets on Tuesday at 6:30 PM.  All men are welcome to attend.  See Bill Partridge for more information.

Also this next week, Pastor Mark and Lisa Short celebrate their anniversary on Thursday, August 19.  Be sure to congratulate Lisa on putting up with Pastor Mark for all these years!! 😆 Just kidding!  Happy anniversary to them both!! 💓

We have nothing on the calendar for the rest of January, so here's a look at what's coming up in February: Make plans to join us for the ALCC Marriage Conference February 2-4.  If you know a couple that would be blessed by this conference, feel free to invite them even if they attend another church!  We want this to be a benefit to our community.

October 26, 2023

This Friday, October 27, is the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party .  Bring the whole family and join us in the Groundzero building at 6:30 PM to help fill our boxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and more!   We've been recognizing our pastors this month on social media, we've collected a few cards and notes, and this Sunday will be the last day we'll receive a special offering to bless our pastors and their wives.  If you haven't given yet you can do so by marking your envelope "Pastor Appreciation" when you give cash or a check in the offering.  You can also choose "Pastor Appreciation" from the fund drop down menu if you give online . This Sunday, October 29th is  Lisa Short's Birthday .  You still have a little time to send her a card or  you can send her a text or even post something on social media wishing her a happy birthday!
