September 30, 2021

Tomorrow is the first day of October - a busy month at ALCC!

Saturday morning, October 2, the Man2Man men's group will host their monthly breakfast.  Bring your friends and/or bring your sons to the Fellowship Hall at 8:30 AM.

Sunday we begin our At the Movies sermon series with Captain America.

All month long you'll have opportunities to invite the movie buffs in your life as we see how God wants to empower the superhero in each of us!

Also, October is Pastor Appreciation Month!

As we have done the past two years, we will be receiving an offering during the month of October for our pastors and their wives.  This offering will then be divided up among our pastors.  Simply mark your check/envelope "Pastor Appreciation" and drop it in the offering or drop boxes any time in October.  You can also give online, just be sure to choose the "Pastoral Gifts" fund from the drop down list.  If you prefer text-to-give, simply add the words "Pastoral Gifts" after the dollar amount in your text to 812.205.2623.  Let's show our Pastors and their wives how much we appreciate them!

Don't forget, Sunday School resumes this Sunday.

We hope you and your family will join us as we start the new Bible Engagement Project together.

Last night, Wednesday, September 29, we held our first meeting for Bethlehem Revisited 2021.  If you missed this meeting but would like to take part contact the church office and we'll put you on the list!

Next week we have both Mama Co. and The Remnant on Tuesday, October 5th:
  • The Mama Co. moms' group meets at 9:15 AM.  The mamas have some adult time and encourage one another while volunteers watch the little ones.  Mama Co. is open to anyone with kids of any age, so invite your friends and family!
  • The Remnant men's Bible study meets at 6:30 PM.  All men are welcome to attend!

Wednesday, October 6th is First Wednesday.  Join us in the sanctuary for a night of praise and prayer.  First Wednesday begins at 6:30 PM.

Just a heads up for some future events:

Sister Co. bonfire is Monday, October 11 at 6:30 PM so save the date!

Also, GZ will be holding it's annual Thanksgiving Dinner on November 14.  To prepare this family meal for our students, Crystal Willis is asking for donations:

2-Turkeys (cooked) - 2-Hams - Instant mashed potatoes - Green beans - Corn - Rolls

Chicken stock - Butter - Milk - Desserts - Canned jelly cranberry

They are planning on feeding around 40 people.  If you'd like to donate any of these items, let Crystal know and have them at the church no later than November 7.
