April 6, 2023


We are in the middle of Holy Week.  Today, Maundy Thursday, is when Jesus celebrated Passover with the disciples at The Last Supper.  Not only did Christ institute the practice of Communion at this holy meal, but he also washed the disciples feet.  As we near our own Easter services and celebrations, be thinking how you can serve others, perform an act of kindness, and invite them to Easter at ALCC.

Tomorrow at 6 PM, join us for a special illustrated sermon as we celebrate Good Friday.  

Then on Saturday morning, we have fun for families at our Easter Egg Hunt from 10 AM until around 11:30 AM.  There will be inflatables, games, prizes, face painting, lots of eggs and even more candy. 

Finally on Easter Sunday, we will have services at our usual times of 9 AM and 10:45 AM.  

We hope you and your family will be here for one or more of these Easter events.


After all the weekend's festivities, next week will be fairly quiet.

Next Thursday, the Ladies' Prayer Group will meet in the ALCC prayer room at 9:30 AM.

Also on Thursday is Pastor Wes's birthday!  Plan now to send him a card or a special message next week.

We have nothing on the calendar for the rest of January, so here's a look at what's coming up in February: Make plans to join us for the ALCC Marriage Conference February 2-4.  If you know a couple that would be blessed by this conference, feel free to invite them even if they attend another church!  We want this to be a benefit to our community.

This Friday, October 27, is the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party .  Bring the whole family and join us in the Groundzero building at 6:30 PM to help fill our boxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and more!   We've been recognizing our pastors this month on social media, we've collected a few cards and notes, and this Sunday will be the last day we'll receive a special offering to bless our pastors and their wives.  If you haven't given yet you can do so by marking your envelope "Pastor Appreciation" when you give cash or a check in the offering.  You can also choose "Pastor Appreciation" from the fund drop down menu if you give online . This Sunday, October 29th is  Lisa Short's Birthday .  You still have a little time to send her a card or  you can send her a text or even post something on social media wishing her a happy birthday!
