We've had a great time at Scuba VBS this week averaging 158 kids every night!  Be praying for tonight as the kids hear about salvation and have the opportunity to accept Jesus as their Savior.

Also, the fun doesn't stop after we close on Friday night, because Sunday all the kids have been invited back to ALCC for VBS Sunday.  You'll get your daily dose of vitamin "sea" when the kids sing some of their VBS songs for us in the both services.  Parents, kids will come to the sanctuary at the beginning of service (whichever you attend) before heading to their normal Sunday activities.  


Also this Sunday, join us for some fun and food:


This new event at the Burgh House at Showplace's FEC, is their way to give back to the community.  This month, they've chosen to give back to Abundant Life, so 10% of all food purchases will be given to ALCC.  Pick up a coupon at the desk in the foyer so they know you're one of us!




Remember to pray for Pastor Troy and John Cobb as they travel to Uganda, not only for travel mercies and protection, but also for the work they will accomplish for the Kingdom of God.




This coming Wednesday, June 11, is an ALCC Kids Movie Outing to see Sonic the Hedgehog 2.  Parents are welcome to come, but you can also drop your kiddos off at Showplace in Newburgh at 9:15 AM.  Please send them with $5 for a ticket, popcorn & a drink.  Pastor Johnathan will be there with some other volunteers to keep an eye on the kids.


Next Sunday, June 16, is Father's Day.  I'm not sure what all Pastor Tyler has up his sleeve for that morning, but I'm sure it will something special for dear old dad!  Be sure to invite the dads in your life to join us at either 9 or 10:45 AM.

We have nothing on the calendar for the rest of January, so here's a look at what's coming up in February: Make plans to join us for the ALCC Marriage Conference February 2-4.  If you know a couple that would be blessed by this conference, feel free to invite them even if they attend another church!  We want this to be a benefit to our community.

This Friday, October 27, is the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party .  Bring the whole family and join us in the Groundzero building at 6:30 PM to help fill our boxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and more!   We've been recognizing our pastors this month on social media, we've collected a few cards and notes, and this Sunday will be the last day we'll receive a special offering to bless our pastors and their wives.  If you haven't given yet you can do so by marking your envelope "Pastor Appreciation" when you give cash or a check in the offering.  You can also choose "Pastor Appreciation" from the fund drop down menu if you give online . This Sunday, October 29th is  Lisa Short's Birthday .  You still have a little time to send her a card or  you can send her a text or even post something on social media wishing her a happy birthday!
