October 26 - November 1

It's the last week of October!  It's also the last week of Daylight Savings Time and we have a full moon on Saturday, Halloween.  Maybe this trifecta will be like hitting Ctrl + Alt + Del so we can reset 2020!  😄 If you didn't join us yesterday, you missed an awesome service with a great move of the Holy Spirit.  We saw people freed from depression and fatigue and Pastor Troy continued with the series, Faith > fear .  If you missed it, be sure to watch the recording of our live-stream from either service on our YouTube channel. Here are the events coming up this week: Be in prayer for our nation with the election coming up next week and if you haven't done so already, be sure to vote! As November begins Sunday, we begin a month of Thanksgiving.  Join us at First Wednesday, November 4th at 6:30 PM as we give thanks to God through praise and prayer. Happy Monday and Happy Columbus Day!  If you're lucky enough to have the day off, I hope you're enjoying it! Yesterday we had another great message from Pastor Troy as he continued his sermon series, Faith > fear .  This week as we returned to Hebrews 11, we looked at the faith of Abraham and Sarah.  If you missed it, you can watch the recording of our live-stream on our YouTube channel. Here are the events coming up this week: Ladies, the bonfire tomorrow night is at the firepit located at the home of Darlene Brackett.  Just park in the cul-de-sac and walk through the yard to the fire pit behind her home. Young at Heart - there was not a sign-up sheet for this gathering!  There will be plenty of food provided by Lisa Short, so we hope you'll be there! Men, be sure to note the tee time for the golf outing!  Originally, I put the approximate tee time of noon but that had to be moved up.  You'll want to arrive prior to the 11 AM tee time to be ready to go! Happy Fall, Y'all!  Hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather this past weekend!  This past Saturday was a great day for hiking in the land of Lincoln.  If you've never been to either the Lincoln State Park or the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial , I highly recommend it! Yesterday, we welcomed guest missionary, Jay Covert in both services.  Jay shared his testimony and the powerful work God has done and continues to do through his work as an AG US Missionary Urban Church Planter.  If you missed his challenging message, you can find recordings of our live-stream on our YouTube channel.   Also, if you didn't yet give in our special offering to Jay, you can do so online .  Simply select "Guest Missionary" from the fund drop down menu. Here are the events coming up this week at ALCC: Men, if you haven't yet signed up for the Golf Scramble on Saturday, October 17, see Bill Partridge ASAP.  It should be a fun day out on the links!
