Ladies, time is running out for you to register for the Vital Conference and save $10!  If you're planning to go, you can come by the church office today (August 19) before 4 PM and pay by cash, check or credit card.  If you can't make it to the office you can pay via Venmo to the Sister Co. account and contact Mallory Jordan at malloryjordan89@gmail.com to get registered.

Happy Anniversary today to Pastor Mark and Lisa Short!  If you haven't already, why not shoot them a text or post something on social media!


Wednesday, August 25, at 11 AM the seniors of ALCC will hold their monthly luncheon.  Come and enjoy some wonderful music, a word of encouragement, a great meal and a time of fun and fellowship.  All seniors are welcome to attend, so invite your friends!

We don't have anything else on the calendar for next week, but here are some other events coming up you might like to know about:

Coming up on September 1 is our First Wednesday praise and prayer night.  Mark your calendars to join us in the sanctuary at 6:30 PM as we worship together.

We also have some events to prepare for coming up in November.  First, we will be participating in Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan's Purse.  Shoebox collections are the middle of November so we need to start soon.  If you'd like to help in any way, sign up at the Hospitality Desk in the foyer.  A sign up sheet will be there starting this Sunday.  If you've not familiar with Operation Christmas Child, pick up a flyer at the desk for more information.

Also in November, on Saturday November 13, Abundant Life will be hosting a Missions Banquet to celebrate the missionaries we support and raise funds for missions.  If you'd like to help in the planning and preparations for the banquet, sign up at the Hospitality Desk.  We need lots of help to make this night a success!

We have nothing on the calendar for the rest of January, so here's a look at what's coming up in February: Make plans to join us for the ALCC Marriage Conference February 2-4.  If you know a couple that would be blessed by this conference, feel free to invite them even if they attend another church!  We want this to be a benefit to our community.

October 26, 2023

This Friday, October 27, is the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party .  Bring the whole family and join us in the Groundzero building at 6:30 PM to help fill our boxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and more!   We've been recognizing our pastors this month on social media, we've collected a few cards and notes, and this Sunday will be the last day we'll receive a special offering to bless our pastors and their wives.  If you haven't given yet you can do so by marking your envelope "Pastor Appreciation" when you give cash or a check in the offering.  You can also choose "Pastor Appreciation" from the fund drop down menu if you give online . This Sunday, October 29th is  Lisa Short's Birthday .  You still have a little time to send her a card or  you can send her a text or even post something on social media wishing her a happy birthday!
