Can you believe July is almost over?? Here is all we have going on in the month of August: Join us Sunday, as Pastor Troy continues his sermon series, Rooted in Prayer: From Root to Fruit .  If you missed either of the previous messages, catch up HERE .  Also, be sure to pick up your copy of the notes for all these messages at the Usher's Table at the back of the sanctuary. Back to School!   Warrick County schools resume on Wednesday and Vanderburgh resumes next week.  Keep the students and faculty in your prayers for a great school year. As usual, on Tuesday our team heads to Potter's Wheel and you can join them!  Meet at the facility at 11 am. Also on Tuesday, the men's group - The Remnant - meets at ALCC at 6:30 PM On August 5, we will resume our First Wednesday Praise and Prayer Service at 6:30 pm.  Please note, we will not have our fellowship meal beforehand, just time together in the presence of God. As July comes to a close, we have just a couple things coming up next week: On Tuesday you can join our team at the Potter's Wheel as they serve in the Diner from 11 am until 1 pm. Wednesday evening... Ladies, don't miss the fun!  Please note this was originally scheduled for Tuesday but had to be moved to Wednesday, July 29. We are still collecting for OCC Christmas in July and this Sunday we are also collecting for our Spanish Ministry School Supply Drive !  As you do your back-to-school shopping, pick up some extras for children near and far.  Donations for Spanish Church can be placed in the collection box in the front lobby and all OCC donations can be placed in the big red boxes in both the front and back lobbies at church. All month long we are collecting items for Operation Christmas Child - Christmas in July .  Now is the time to buy up lots of school supplies to put in our shoeboxes this fall.  You can leave your donations in the big red boxes in the front and back lobbies at church.  Help us spread the love of Jesus all around the world! Tuesday, July 21, join our team at the Potter's Wheel in Evansville from 11 am until 1 pm as they serve the community in the Diner. Also on Tuesday, our men's Bible study group, The Remnant , meets at 6:30 pm. There is an opportunity serve the elderly at Wyndmoor on Thursday, July 23 as our team provides a Bible Study/Service for the residents.  Meet at the facility at 1:15 pm. Ladies, mark your calendars for the Sister Co. Sourdough Social coming up on Tuesday, July 28, in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm.  We'll provide the supplies so you can come learn and take home your own starter!

Be sure to stay after service this Sunday and enjoy a meal at the Vida en Abundancia Fundraiser .  For a suggested donation of $10/adult ($5/child) you'll be served authentic Hispanic foods plus beverages and a homemade dessert.  All proceeds will go towards updates and upgrades to the Spanish Church Building so they can continue to serve the Spanish speaking community in our area. You should have received a text, but there will be No Tuesday Lunch Hour Prayer for July and August.  Obviously you can still pray on your lunch hour, but the church will not be open at that time.  Plan now to attend when this corporate prayer time resumes in September. Our team will continue to serve at the Potter's Wheel every Tuesday, at the Diner, from 11 am until 1 pm.  To volunteer to help in other areas at Potter's Wheel, see their website for more information.

We've begun a new month, it's a slow one at ALCC, but here's a few things we have coming up this month: We hope everyone has a fun and safe Independence Day weekend!  As we celebrate 250 years of freedom, we will continue the festivities on Sunday with one service at 10 am followed by a picnic on the Legacy House lawn.  Join us for worship, food, and lots of fun! On Tuesday, July 7, we'll have our usual events: Potter's Wheel at 11 am, Prayer at 12 pm, and the Remnant at 6:30 pm. Thursday, July 9, our team will lead a Bible study for the residents of Wyndmoor in Evansville.  All are welcome to join at 1:15 pm. Plan to stay after service on Sunday, July 12, for a Hispanic culinary tour!  The members of the Spanish  Church are hosting a fundraiser and will be serving authentic foods from several different countries.  All proceeds will go towards upgrades to the Spanish Church facilities.
