Tomorrow is September so here is what we have planned for the month: Remember, more events could be scheduled and these events could possibly change.  So be sure to read the weekly blog for updates &/or check the ALCC Master Calendar . Join us this Sunday as Pastor Tyler & Mackenzie finish the sermon series, Seasons .  If you missed last Sunday's message, catch up HERE with our video podcast. Sunday, September 3rd, is Pastor Troy's Birthday !  Be sure to send him a text or post on social media to let him know you're thinking of him on his special day! Monday, September 4, is Labor Day .  Hope you can enjoy the long weekend with family and friends.  Due to the Holiday Weekend, there will NOT be Life Groups or kids' programs on Sunday evening.  Also, the church office will be closed on Monday. Tuesday, September 5, The Remnant men's Bible study meets at 6:30 PM. September 6 is First Wednesday .  Join us for a meal in the Fellowship Hall from 5:15-6:15 PM and

August is almost over, and hopefully so is the heat!   We have just a few things coming up next week. On Monday, August 28, the Ladies' Book Club meets at Archie and Clyde's at 6 PM.  Any women are welcome to join this group of book lovers!  Or if you'd like more information first, see Michelle Miller. August 29 is the Men's 5th Tuesday Prayer Night .  Join the men of ALCC for a time of prayer at 6:30 PM. If you're new to ALCC or are ready to get involved - or maybe you've just gotten involved recently - Life Track is for you.  Come meet the pastors and learn about ALCC, your unique gifts and personality, and see where you fit in at Abundant Life.  Life Track is now just a 3 hour course on one Saturday morning.  The next Life Track will be Saturday, September 9, from 9 AM until 12 PM .  Childcare and light refreshments will be provided.  If you'd like more information, speak with one of our pastors.

This Saturday, August 19, is Pastor Mark and Lisa Short's Wedding Anniversary .  Be sure to wish the happy couple many more years of love and laughter! Join us Sunday as Pastor Troy finishes his Greatest Stories message on  "The Temptation of Christ" .  If you missed the first two messages, be sure to catch up before Sunday.  You can find our video podcasts on our website, or just click this link: Video Podcasts .  Life Groups begin this weekend and next.  If your group meets 1st & 3rd weeks, you'll meet this Sunday, August 20,  at 5:30 PM.  If your group meets 2nd & 4th (like the "I Was Broke. Now I'm Not." group) you'll meet next Sunday, August 27.  ALCC Kids and ALCC Pre-K programs are held every Sunday, so they begin August 20.  If you've signed up for a group and haven't yet heard from a leader, contact Carla Boulware. Next Wednesday, August 23, the Young at Heart group will resume their monthly luncheon in the Fellowship Hal

Please note, the Life Track session previously scheduled for this Saturday has been canceled . Join us Sunday as Pastor Troy continues his Greatest Stories message on "The Temptation of Christ" . We have just a few things coming up next week: Tuesday, August 15, The Remnant men's Bible study meets at 6:30 PM. Thursday, August 17, the Ladies' Prayer Group meets in the ALCC Prayer Room at 9:30 AM. Next Saturday, August 19, Pastor Mark and Lisa celebrate their wedding anniversary.  Plan ahead to send them a card or a message. Life Groups begin soon!  "Classic" groups begin on either the 20th or 27th.  The "I Was Broke. Now I'm Not." group begins on the 27th.  If you haven't already, sign up to join a group at the table in the back of the sanctuary.

Schools start all over the tri-state this week and next.  As the kids and staff return, let's keep them in prayer for a great school year, and pray for the parents as they send their kids back to school. Next Wednesday, August 9, at 10 AM the Young at Heart Bible Study resumes in the Fellowship Hall with a great study on Joseph .  Everyone over 50 is welcome to attend, so feel free to invite anyone you know who would be available to come.  For more information, see Pastor Mark or Lisa. Thursday, August 10, the Ladies' Prayer Group meets at 9:30 AM in the ALCC Prayer Room .  All women who are prayer warriors, prayer novices, or anywhere in between are welcome to attend.  For more information, see Kathy Tidd.
