Saturday is November 1, so here is your monthly calendar: Note the events coming up right away: Saturday is the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party !  Drop off your donations today until 4 PM or bring them with you to the party.  We'll be filling hundreds of boxes in the Fellowship Hall starting at 1 PM.  Come for an hour or stay the whole time.  You'll be sure to have lots of fun spreading Christmas cheer around the world! Daylight Savings Time ends in the wee hours of Sunday, November 2, so don't forget to Fall Back! This Sunday is "Friend Day" . Be sure to invite your unchurched/unsaved friends and family to join you in either service as Pastor begins a new sermon series, "Thanks" . Tomorrow night at ALCC: Join the gals of Sister Co. at this western themed fall girls night.  Meet in the Main Sanctuary at 6:30 PM for a time of worship, followed by hayrides, a bonfire and s'mores.  Women of all ages are welcome to attend. Sunday, Pastor Troy will wrap up At the Movies with the film, Mr. Holland's Opus .  Bring a friend; we'll have the popcorn ready. The  At the Movies  sermon series continues this Sunday with the film, Twisters . Remember, we cannot live stream these services, so you must be present to enjoy the popcorn and the movie! Our favorite sermon series continues at 9 and 10:45 AM with the movie Evan Almighty .  ALCC Kids will start their own At the Movies series too, so don't miss it!  Remember, due to licensing restrictions we can NOT live stream these services. Also this Sunday, we will celebrate Pastor Appreciation between services with a special cupcake reception at the back of the sanctuary.  Each of the pastors will take home their gifts, cards, and notes this weekend, so be sure to add yours to the table at the back of the sanctuary.  You can also bless our pastors with a special offering we're receiving all month long.  Simply mark your envelope "pastor appreciation" or choose that fund from the dropdown menu to give online. It's finally here! At the Movies sermon series starts this Sunday!  Be sure to invite family, friends, co-workers, etc.  This week the movie is "How to Train Your Dragon" (the live action version) and the kids will join us in the main service. Don't worry, we'll have plenty of popcorn! October is Pastor Appreciation Month! To celebrate our pastors, there is a table set up to collect gifts for each of our pastoral couples.  October 12 is the last Sunday to bring in gifts, cards and notes.   In addition, you can give in the offering all month long to help bless our pastors.  Simply mark your offering envelope or check with "Pastor Appreciation" or you can give online by choosing the correct fund from the drop down menu.  Let's show our pastors how much they mean to us!
