It's finally here! At the Movies sermon series starts this Sunday!  Be sure to invite family, friends, co-workers, etc.  This week the movie is "How to Train Your Dragon" (the live action version) and the kids will join us in the main service. Don't worry, we'll have plenty of popcorn!

October is Pastor Appreciation Month! To celebrate our pastors, there is a table set up to collect gifts for each of our pastoral couples.  October 12 is the last Sunday to bring in gifts, cards and notes.  In addition, you can give in the offering all month long to help bless our pastors.  Simply mark your offering envelope or check with "Pastor Appreciation" or you can give online by choosing the correct fund from the drop down menu.  Let's show our pastors how much they mean to us!

We have events coming up almost every day next week:

If you're available on Tuesday, October 7, join our team at the Potter's Wheel from 11 AM until 1 PM or gather in the sanctuary for Prayer from 12 until 1 PM.

Also on Tuesday, The Remnant men's group meets at 6:30 PM at ALCC.

Wednesday, October 8, Young at Heart will meet for a Bible study in the Fellowship Hall at 10 AM and ALCC Youth will have service at 6:30 PM in the Groundzero Building.

Thursday, October 9, the Ladies' Prayer Group will meet at 9:30 AM in the ALCC Prayer Room and then at 1:15 PM our team will minister to the residents at Wyndmoor in Evansville.

Next Saturday, October 11, our men's ministry will host a Men's Breakfast at 8:30 AM.  Make plans now to attend.

Ladies, save the date for Breathe: Holy Ghost Rodeo a Sister Co. worship night coming up on Friday, October 24.

You may notice some Christmas trees around the church already.  They aren't just for decorations, they are loaded with ornaments with items to purchase for Operation Christmas Child.  The Shoebox Packing Party is coming up in less than a month so we need to be sure we have enough goodies to fill hundreds of boxes.  Pick up an ornament or two this Sunday, purchase some of the items on the list, and bring them back to church.  All items can be left in the red collection boxes in the main foyer or at the back overhang entrance.
