Sunday, August 30, is Celebration Sunday ! We'll be celebrating all the ways God has been moving at ALCC with worship, testimonies, water baptisms and more.  It's not too late to sign up to be baptized.  If you or someone you know is ready for that next step of faith, sign up HERE .   Also this Sunday is an opportunity to Bless Baby Villarreal Cruz .  You can buy something from their REGISTRY and have it shipped directly to them, or you can bring a gift, card, money, or diapers to church.  There will be a table set up in the back of the sanctuary to collect the blessings for Pastor Angel and Briley's bundle of joy. As with all 5th Sundays, there will be No Life Groups or Kids Programs this Sunday evening .  Enjoy some alone time or spend it with friends and family.  ALCC Kids is hosting a Family Fun Night at Elite Air for just that reason.  Meet up with other families of elementary age kids at Elite Air at 5000 Healthy Way in Evansville at ...

Here are the events going on at ALCC in the next week and beyond... Next Tuesday, as usual, you can help serve at the Potter's Wheel from 11 am until 1 pm. Wednesday, August 26, ALCC Youth meets at 6:30 pm, doors open at 6:00. Thursday, August 27, our team will be serving the residents of Wyndmoor .  Feel free to join them at the facility at 1:15 pm. Coming up on August 30, is Celebration Sunday !  You won't want to miss this time to celebrate all that God is doing at ALCC and in the lives of those who call ALCC home.  If you, or someone you know, would like to be baptized on Celebration Sunday, use this LINK to sign up. Join us Sunday as Pastor Tyler continues his sermon series, Stacking Chairs , as we learn how to serve like Jesus. We have a few events coming up next week: On Tuesday the Potter's Wheel in Evansville serves a meal to those in need from 11 am - 1 pm, all are welcome to join our team that serves every week. Also on Tuesday, The Remnant men's group meets at ALCC at 6:30 pm.  This group is open to any man or teen. This Sunday, August 9,  Life Groups begin a new semester at ALCC.   Adult Life Groups meet on the 1st & 3rd OR 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month.  You can find a list of the groups, their leaders and locations, at the Hospitality Desk in the foyer or posted on the boards at the back overhang entrance.   Middle and High School Life Groups meet on the 2nd & 4th Sundays.  You can find details for these groups on the sheet with the adult groups ALCC Kids host Royal Rangers for elementary age boys and Mpact Girls for elementary age girls every Sunday.  These clubs use hands on activities to help kids grow in their faith while learning valuable life skills.  Whether your group is meeting or not, you can still drop off your kids at the GZ Building for these great programs.   Childcare is also available in the main building for little ones while you attend your Life Group.   Drop off for all kids and students begins at ...

Can you believe July is almost over?? Here is all we have going on in the month of August: Join us Sunday, as Pastor Troy continues his sermon series, Rooted in Prayer: From Root to Fruit .  If you missed either of the previous messages, catch up HERE .  Also, be sure to pick up your copy of the notes for all these messages at the Usher's Table at the back of the sanctuary. Back to School!   Warrick County schools resume on Wednesday and Vanderburgh resumes next week.  Keep the students and faculty in your prayers for a great school year. As usual, on Tuesday our team heads to Potter's Wheel and you can join them!  Meet at the facility at 11 am. We are still collecting for OCC Christmas in July and this Sunday we are also collecting for our Spanish Ministry School Supply Drive !  As you do your back-to-school shopping, pick up some extras for children near and far.  Donations for Spanish Church can be placed in the collection box in the front lobby and all OCC donations can be placed in the big red boxes in both the front and back lobbies at church. All month long we are collecting items for Operation Christmas Child - Christmas in July .  Now is the time to buy up lots of school supplies to put in our shoeboxes this fall.  You can leave your donations in the big red boxes in the front and back lobbies at church.  Help us spread the love of Jesus all around the world! Tuesday, July 21, join our team at the Potter's Wheel in Evansville from 11 am until 1 pm as they serve the community in the Diner. Also on Tuesday, our men's Bible study group, The Remnant , meets at 6:30 pm. There is an opportunity serve the elderly at Wyndmoor on Thursday, July 23 as our team provides a Bible Study/Service for the residents.  Meet at the facility at 1:15 pm. Ladies, mark your calendars for the Sister Co. Sourdough Social coming up on Tuesday, July 28, in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm.  We'll provide the supplies so you can come learn and take home your own starter!
