Hello ALCC Family!  Hope you're having a great week!  If you're not, maybe you should watch/re-watch Pastor Troy message from Sunday.  He taught on the middle of the Bible, Psalm 118 and in the center of the Bible is this verse: "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans." If you missed the service, you can find it on our YouTube channel. This Sunday we will have a special guest with us at ALCC: Bernie Smith will be joining us in both services this Sunday, January 24. He will be updating us on the ministry at the West Africa Advanced School of Theology where Bernie and his wife Brenda have served since 1994.  This regional school, based in Lomé, Togo, serves French and English speaking pastors and church leaders from some 20 nations of West and Central Africa.  Bernie teaches many subjects at the school and is also the associate pastor of the WAAST International Chapel.   Coming up next week: From 6 PM, Friday, January 29, until ...

Hope you are having a great week!  If you joined us Sunday, I'm sure your week started off right.  This past Sunday we ended our 7 days of prayer and fasting with communion, praise & worship, directed prayer for those in need and of course a great message from Pastor Troy.  If you missed it, check out the recording of out live-stream on our YouTube channel. Tuesday night Sister Co. had a wonderful New Year Banquet.  The ladies enjoyed a wonderful meal and an even better word of encouragement from Carla Boulware!  She reminded us that we need to "Wake Up" and make the most of every opportunity in 2021.  Below is something Carla shared that I thought everyone could benefit from. Don't forget, GZ, Royal Rangers and Missionettes have started up again on Sunday evenings at 5:30 PM.  If you have elementary, middle school or high school age kids you'll want to get them here and plugged in. Also this Sunday, Life Groups resume...  If you are already ...

Now that our Media Fast has ended I can update the blog!  In case you didn't know, blogs are considered Social Media, so a no-no for us the past few days.  We will continue our food fasting until this Sunday, January 10th, when we will break the fast with communion together. ALCC has held times of corporate prayer each night this week, including the return of First Wednesdays last night.  Tonight, Thursday, January 7, corporate prayer will be held in the GZ sanctuary at 6 PM. Even though we are just half way through our 7 Days of Prayer and Fasting, we are already seeing mighty moves of God.  We expect to hear of even more, especially after we hold our Miracle Sunday this weekend.  Come expecting great things and be sure to let us know how God has been working in your life and the miraculous breakthroughs you experience. We still have a few more things coming up that are worth mentioning! First, this Saturday, January 9th, is Pastor Mark's birthday! ...

It's the week of Christmas and all through the house...  I bet some are scurrying about like a mouse!!  I hope you take time this week to enjoy the season and count your blessings! Yesterday was our Christmas Sunday Service and the finale of Christmas at the Movies .  Pastor Troy used A Christmas Carol to show us how Redemption is the beautiful carol of Christmas.  If you missed it, you can find our on-line version on our YouTube Channel.  Just remember to watch the movie first since we cannot include movie clips (we watched the 1984 George C. Scott version). The church office will be closed Christmas Eve until January 4th. If you need anything during this time you can text the church number and some one will get back with you as soon as they can. Also, don't forget, on Sunday, December 27, we will have on-line service only.  Join us for Pastor Mark's special message from the comfort of your couch - maybe still in your Christmas PJs - via our website , ...

Christmas is almost here!  This year will be a different Christmas for some, but maybe that just means we can slow down and enjoy the season! I hope you were able to join us yesterday.  In the morning we had our family friendly, Christmas at the Movies message with the Polar Express .  The kids joined us for a message where Pastor Troy encouraged us to " Believe " - in Jesus - because believing is the key to hearing and seeing the wonders of Christmas.  If you missed the message you can watch the online version on our YouTube channel. Then last night we enjoyed a great performance from our kids!  The ALCC Pre-K brought lots of joy as they dressed like the nativity animals and sang for us.  Then the ALCC Kids did a great job as they presented Hotel Noel and reminded us what Christmas is really all about!  If you missed it, there are lots of posts from proud parents and grandparents on social media!! Tomorrow morning our moms' group, Mama Co., meets ...
